Like every other blog on the rationalsphere, I work on the west coast in tech as a data scientist — although all my training is in the social sciences. During my undergrad I studied economic/scientific theory, no math or coding. Then I got my MSc in Political Economy from the London School of Economics, and worked in Financial Economic research for the Federal Reserve for a few years. I had a lot of questions and confusion about how the Fed and Macroeconomics actually worked, which I never figured out. Since moving into the private sector I’m trying to keep the social science dream alive here on my blog.

I write about the philosophy of social science, as well as meta-culture wars.

I write under a combination of my first and middle name. I don’t think that anything I write could get me in trouble with the culture-police, but it’s hard to tell sometimes.
